Scheduler for BCCK Engineering, Inc. to work at our Midland, TX loc. Some remote work may be available at the supervisor’s discretion. Job Summary Establish, develop, maintain & report detailed project (proj) schedules & work plans; process & compile weekly/monthly reports nec for control & maintenance of Proj Budgets; provide cost forecasts. Responsibilities Establish proj planning & scheduling systems & reporting to meet proj requirements (reqs) & disseminate reqs to Project Management (PM) group. Work cross-functionally with Proj Controls, Engineering, PM & Accounting. Regulate & alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences & lead times to expedite production ops. Review production schedules, engineering specs, orders, & rel info to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, & activities. Schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage & handling facilities, & maintenance reqs. Ensure coordination between team members that provide planning inputs & scheduling updates. Provide proj planning input into proposals & bids. Own all proj planning & scheduling reqs incl coordination of updates, accuracy of info, system mgmt, & client & proj manager liaison. Prep baseline detail schedules, progress curves, milestones lists & resource profiles. Eval & report schedule deviations. Prep detailed progress monitoring curves. Report progress & provide variation commentary. Assist in developing work breakdown structures. Participate in vendor/contractor bid reviews. Assist in claims evaluation. Liaise w/ PMs to clarify proj planning issues. Prep & present proj planning reports for PM & customer review. Develop & maintain effective working relationships w/ team members/proj personnel. Assist in preparing & maintaining proj cost & cash forecasts from award to completion. Assist in developing & maintaining databases of specs & costs of major equipment buyout lists. ID, research, & track budget variances. Assist in maintaining & reporting cost info for projs, in compliance w/ cost control procedures & aligned w/ accepted reporting standards & formats. Interface w/ proj personnel to develop forecasts & analyze costs. Assist w/ providing appropriately phased cost forecasts to enable fiscal spends monthly/quarterly/annually. Assist w/ Proj Controls Manager requests in support of Proj Controls function. Maintain proactive approach to avoid proj overruns. Develop & maintain cost-conscious env within Proj Controls group. Assist to ID areas of concern or improvement to maximize cost effectiveness on projs & work practices. May undergo background checks incl drug screen & MV record check. Limited local travel (to fabrication shops) & little national travel (to construction sites). Requirements Must have Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field; 18 months relevant exp in engineering or construction.
