Assistant Controller – Hospitality Management Prominence Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controlle r to support accounting operations across multiple hotel properties and entities. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional with hospitality or hotel accounting experience looking to grow within a fast‑paced environment. Location- Hybrid - Chicago Illinois What You’ll do as an Assistant Controller Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Analyze property‑level P&Ls and investigate variances Oversee AR, AP, cash, fixed assets, and prepaids Prepare and file sales and occupancy tax returns Support audits, lender reporting, and tax requests Partner with operations and internal teams to resolve accounting issues Identify process improvements and support accounting staffAct as backup to the Controller What You’ll Need to be an Assistant Controller Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience, including multi‑entity accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with M3, Hotel Investor Apps, QuickBooks, or similar systems Advanced Excel skills Preferred: Hospitality, hotel, or property management accounting experience CPA or CPA‑eligible Experience with audits, tax, and lender reporting Familiarity with PMS or POS systems Hindi language proficiency is a plus Why Join Prominence Hospitality?
