Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service management and possess excellent communication skills. As a Service Writer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their service needs are met while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve coordinating with technicians, managing service orders, and ordering and receiving parts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
• Create detailed service orders and estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Submit supplements to insurance companies in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
• Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Provide information on warranty coverage and service history.
• Address customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance practices.
• Experience in auto service management or as a service technician is a plus.
• Familiarity with various automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, alignment, suspension, oil changes, air brakes, tire services, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and auto body repair.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Proficient in auto estimating and sales techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and communicate effectively with technicians.
• Experience in CCC One estimating software is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
