On-site in Needham, MA. Start date is ASAP for this 6 Month Contract position. Compensation Range: $22/hr W2. Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Lab/Test Technician to support laboratory testing and ongoing test requests. The technician will work closely with an engineering team to perform established tests, operate laboratory equipment, collect and document data, and communicate test failures or unexpected results.

The ideal candidate has practical technical or laboratory experience, strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Candidates must be comfortable following established procedures and learning new testing standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures, protocols, and documented standards.
• Support ongoing testing requests and daily laboratory operations.
• Operate laboratory equipment and vacuum-related systems as required.
• Collect, record, and organize test data accurately.
• Identify test failures, unexpected results, and deviations from established standards.
• Communicate test results, observations, and potential issues to the engineering team.
• Follow documented procedures and ensure test setups meet applicable requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment or testing issues and escalate problems when necessary.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and a clean, organized laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, engineering, or similar technical environment.
• Ability to follow written procedures and established testing protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, procedures, and testing standards.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Needham, MA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vacuum equipment, vacuum systems, or related testing environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory or engineering test equipment.
• Experience collecting and documenting test data.
• Experience identifying and reporting equipment or testing failures.
• Previous experience supporting engineers or technical teams.
