\nPEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGIST AS MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
\n- \n
- Selected candidate will have at least four years of experience and
\n demonstrated excellence in echocardiography as well as outstanding
\n leadership skills \n - Leadership role as medical director of echocardiography with dedicated
\n time and support \n - Academic position as an assistant or associate professor of pediatrics at
\n the UofL School of Medicine \n - Full-service team providing congenital heart disease care, including
\n complex neonatal surgery; pediatric ventricular assist device; and heart
\n transplant, catheterization and electrophysiology procedures \n - Growing practice of 20 cardiologists, 10 advanced practice providers and
\n other specially trained cardiac staff \n - Busy clinical practice performing over 10,000 echocardiograms a year,
\n including:\n- \n
- 3,500 inpatient echocardiograms \n
- 2,800 tele-echocardiograms \n
- 900 fetal echocardiograms \n
- 200 transesophageal echocardiograms \n
\n - Echocardiography laboratory at Norton Childrens Hospital is accredited
\n in pediatric transthoracic, pediatric transesophageal and fetal echocardiography by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission \n - Norton Childrens Hospital and Novak Center for Childrens Health are accredited Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Comprehensive Care
\n Centers by the Adult Congenital Heart Association \n - Established quality assurance processes following quality metrics from the American College of Cardiology Adult Congenital & Pediatric
\n Cardiology Quality Network (QNet) \n - Institute participates in numerous national registries and collaboratives, including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Congenital Heart Surgeons Society, Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4) and National Pediatric Cardiology-Quality Improvement Collaborative \n
