Assistant General ManagerThe Assistant General Manager will support the overall management and performance of a commercial property, working across building operations, tenant relations, engineering, vendors, financial planning, and administrative functions. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial real estate professional who can balance day-to-day operations with financial oversight, long-term planning, and process improvement.Lead and coordinate day-to-day property operations, including facilities, engineering, security, cleaning, landscaping, tenant services, and administrative support.Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial tenants, serving as a senior contact for service requests, escalations, move-ins, and ongoing property needs.Review building performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and the overall tenant experience.Monitor operational, financial, safety, and compliance concerns and implement solutions to address potential issues.Conduct regular property walkthroughs and follow up on maintenance, safety, building condition, and compliance-related items.Maintain organized and accurate property, tenant, lease, and operational records.Develop and improve procedures, workflows, and service standards to promote consistency across property operations.Manage relationships with outside vendors, including sourcing, bidding, contract discussions, purchasing, and performance management.Work closely with engineering and internal teams on renovations, capital improvements, and other major property projects.Support tenant engagement initiatives, property events, seasonal programming, and activities within shared building spaces.Analyze operating expenses and identify opportunities to manage costs while maintaining appropriate service levels.Assist with annual budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis of budget-to-actual variances.Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to communicate priorities, resolve challenges, and move property initiatives forward.Ensure property operations meet established quality, safety, regulatory, and compliance expectations.Qualifications:7+ years of experience in commercial real estate and property management, including significant financial responsibilities.Commercial real estate experience is required; candidates with exclusively residential property management backgrounds will not be considered.Experience with Class A commercial properties, building operations, and property management.Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.Experience managing vendors, contractors, capital projects, and building operations.Previous experience leading teams and coordinating multiple departments or service functions.Strong Excel skills and experience with project management or property management software.Confident communicator with the ability to interact professionally with senior executives, investors, tenants, vendors, and other key stakeholders.Strategic, forward-thinking approach with an interest in improving processes and staying current with industry trends.Approachable leadership style with the ability to establish accountability and build strong working relationships.Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.Additional Details:This is a fully onsite position; remote or hybrid work is not available.The role offers exposure to property operations, financial management, tenant relations, and strategic initiatives within a large and growing organization.Perks:Opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization.High-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership and major commercial tenants.Opportunity to contribute to operational improvements and property-level initiatives.Broad responsibility across property operations, financial planning, and tenant experience.
