How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary) The position will be responsible for working in the process of HVAC refrigeration manufacturing. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to maintain equipment and facilities. You will perform various maintenance tasks such as day-to-day mechanical repair and preventative upkeep of all production equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Position requires knowledge of shop machinery, electrical skills including reading electrical schematics, safety procedures and company policies. The position also requires maintaining a good work ethic and environment built on teamwork, continuous improvement, safety, communication, customer service/satisfaction and organization. What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities) Performance will be measured in several critical areas including: Safety – foster an environment of safe practices Culture – embrace an organization that strives for belonging, creates a clear sense of purpose, and expects transparent and respectful communications Throughput – drive efficient use of resources to increase sales at minimal additional cost Delivery – ensure predictable delivery of product improvements and new product development in line with agreed upon delivery dates Quality – guarantee consistent work product quality focused market ready product launches Cost – ensure effective cost management, in line with organizational objectives Complete high-quality day-to-day basic mechanical and preventative upkeep of all production machinery and building maintenance in accordance with safety codes and manufacturer’s instructions. Initiate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance processes to support manufacturing goals. Develop and execute plan of action for emergency equipment repair Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect various mechanical systems and schedule repairs when needed Troubleshoot equipment controls, including relays, contactors, motor starters, PLC’s, switches, heaters, thermocouples Provides recommendations regarding installation and repair of equipment Document Maintenance procedures for each piece of shop machinery. A check list of these procedures must be kept on file for any inspections from OSHA Maintain daily checklists for forklifts and cranes. Checklists must be kept in accordance with OSHA regulations. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service Must possess demonstrated ability to utilize shop equipment to complete repairs Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. snow shoveling) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.) for the facility Maintains safe and health work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with company policies, keeping area clean and organized Other duties or projects as assigned What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience 3-4 years of relevant experience HVAC equipment service experience preferred: Fin press Tool & Die press Punch press Coil Plant maintenance Experience with Manufacturing sites and building safety standards Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Emotional Intelligence & Sense of Urgency – High levels of self-awareness and an ability to recognize needs and concerns of others. Problem Solving – Ability to draw a high level of insight from multiple business situations to create forward looking improvement programs and detailed initiatives. Collaborative – Ability to influence others and create constructive engagement is the most constructive path to improvement.
