Key Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience working with students who have Autism and multiple disabilities
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and inclusive teaching strategies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to student-centered instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

• Foster a nurturing and structured environment for elementary learners in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, adapting lessons to serve a range of abilities and learning styles
• Employ evidence-based practices tailored for students with Autism and other disabilities
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
• Regularly engage families to support student growth and maintain consistent communication
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
