Certified Nurse Aide

Essential functions include:

• Providing support to a person with a disability at home, work, school, church, and other community places.
• Assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion.
• Acting as an advocate for disabled individuals in communicating their needs, self-expression, and goals.
• Providing daily individual and group contact to clients through the delivery of recreation and leisure activities.
• Planning and preparing for the group and special event programming for clients.
• Documenting weekly progress toward group and intervention participation.
• Participating in treatment team meetings and shift change reports.

Preference will be given to individuals with six (6) months or more experience in healthcare, typically in Human Services. Agency requires current WY CNA certification.

Knowledge of client protocols and interventions of therapy. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and practice partner. Knowledge of procedures of specialized sensory programs to include olfactory, vestibular motion, tactile implements, and auditory interventions. Knowledge of mental illnesses and disabilities. Knowledge of program adaptations. Knowledge of recreation and social programming. Knowledge of motivational techniques.

Minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree (typically in Healthcare). Experience: No prior experience required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CNA Certification.

Physical working conditions include lifting medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs. Work evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.
