Caster Machine Operator

Location: St. Louis, MO 63111

Pay: $23.00 to $26.00/hour

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts

Work Environment: On-site, industrial manufacturing

• Rotating 2-2-3 schedule
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Employees rotate between days and nights after approximately 28 days

We are seeking a dependable Caster Machine Operator to work in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. This position involves operating aluminum casting equipment and using an overhead crane to safely move materials and finished products.

Candidates must have overhead crane and machine operating experience . Previous experience working with metals is a plus but is not required.

• Operate casting and production equipment
• Use an overhead crane to safely move materials and products
• Assist with melting aluminum in large industrial furnaces
• Remove impurities from molten aluminum during production
• Feed or pour molten aluminum into casting equipment
• Monitor temperatures, flow rates, and machine settings
• Perform equipment setup, adjustments, and routine operational checks
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and report equipment or quality issues
• Complete required production documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures while working around high-temperature equipment and molten metal

• Overhead crane experience required
• Machine operation experience required
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
• Comfortable working around hot equipment and materials
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team

• Mechanical troubleshooting

• Work around hot aluminum and high-temperature equipment
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push, pull, and move materials safely
• Required to wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, and heat-resistant equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
