Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera, you will be responsible for guiding and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility and overall physical function. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and directing personalized physical therapy treatment programs focused on pain relief, functional improvement, and disability prevention.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure effective delivery of care as per the treatment plan.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using a variety of diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Assessing clients' home environments and providing recommendations to facilitate improved independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and other modalities while instructing clients in safe practices.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary modifications based on performance feedback.
• Documenting client progress and modifying treatment plans through team discussions, clinical records, and multidisciplinary case conferences.
• Educating clients and their families on therapy protocols, ensuring they understand their treatment and the use of prescribed devices.
• Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations while contributing to the continuous improvement of clinic operations.
