Project Accountant

PositionSummary: TheProjectAccountantisresponsibleforfinancialoversightattheprojectlevel,withprimaryownershipofforecastedcostandbudgetintegrityacrossassignedprojects.ThisrolepartnersdirectlywithProjectManagers(PMs)todevelop,validate,andmonitorcostforecastsonamonthlybasis,whilealsoactingasafinancialcontrolcheckpointtoensuredisciplinedbudgetadherence.Thepositionsitsattheintersectionofprojectexecutionandfinance,providingstructuredcostvisibility,enforcingbudgetcontrols,andimprovingproject-levelfinancialpredictability. KeyResponsibilities: ProjectSetup&FinancialAdministration Ownandoperateaccountingfunctionsforassignedconstructionprojects.CompletesetupofprojectswithinSage,includingprojectstructures,costcodes,andrelatedaccountingsetuprequirements. Addandmaintainadditionalcostcodesasneededthroughouttheprojectlifecycle. ConfirmproperprojectsetupandfunctionalitywithinProcore. SupportcommitmentsetupandadministrationwithinProcore. Assistinidentifyingwhenchangeordersarerequiredduetoincomplete,inaccurate,orinsufficientcommitments. AccountsPayable&InvoiceProcessing ReceiveinvoicesandprocessthemthroughthefullworkflowwithinProcoreandSage,fromreceiptthroughposting. ResolvefailedinvoicepushesandsystemintegrationissuesbetweenProcoreandSage. Administerlienwaivercollection,tracking,andorganizationforassignedprojects. SupportadoptionandadministrationofProcorePayprocesseswhereapplicable. ProjectCostControl&Forecasting Maintainownershipofproject-levelA/Paccrualworkpapersforassignedprojects. PartnerdirectlywithProjectManagerstodevelop,review,validate,andmonitormonthlyprojectcostforecasts. Preparemonthlyprojectanalysestoconfirmbillinggoals,revenuetargets,andfinancialobjectivesareachieved. FollowthroughwithProjectManagersandoperationspersonnelregardingoutstandingfinancialinformationorprojectdocumentation. Compliance&Reporting Reviewandprocesscertifiedsubcontractorpayrolldocumentationforcomplianceandcompleteness. Ensureprojectfinancialrecordsaremaintainedinaccordancewithcompanystandardsandauditrequirements. Assistwithinternalandexternalauditrequestsrelatedtoprojectfinancialactivity. MaintainstrongcommunicationandcoordinationwithothermembersoftheProjectAccountingandFinanceteams. Qualifications Bachelor'sdegreeinaccounting,Business,Finance,orarelatedfield(ordemonstratedprovenequivalentexperience) Minimumof1–2yearsofexperienceinprojectaccounting,constructionaccounting,orrelatedaccountingandfinanceroles. MicrosoftOfficeSuite Sage300ConstructionandRealEstate/SAGEINTACTpreferred Procoreexperiencepreferred Knowledge&Skills Strongorganizationalandtimemanagementskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprojectssimultaneously. Highattentiontodetailandcommitmenttoaccuracy. Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingabilities. AbilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithProjectManagers,fieldleadership,vendors,andaccountingpersonnel. Abilitytoworkcollaborativelyinafast-pacedconstructionenvironment. Strongsenseofaccountabilityandownershipoverassignedresponsibilities.
