Regional Field Sales Manager
We have an exciting Regional Field Sales Manager opportunity supporting the Midwest Retail accounts. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the retail field sales team. The Regional Field Sales manager is responsible for developing, selling, and maintaining a customer base for the Prairie Fresh portfolio of products that includes fresh commodity pork; Prairie Fresh fresh pork; along with Prairie Fresh branded value-added products (seasoned and marinated, bacon, sausage). Region includes Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This list is not intended to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.
- Execute the region's strategic sales plan and be the voice of the customer for assigned accounts. This includes region and customer sales plan development; managing the customer relationship in the assigned geography; growing distribution of the value-added portfolio; participating in regional trade shows and customer events; and maintaining a broker network that achieves region goals.
- Identifying potential growth areas for customers, then providing products, pricing, and strategies to successfully grow business.
- Stay informed of perishable protein markets in the assigned region and communicate this information to supervisors and other team members to assist with pricing and sales decisions.
- Monitor and assist with the collection of receivables and unauthorized deductions to maintain the balance and attain targeted levels.
- Prepare weekly reports on all sales activities.
- Manage region's sales expense budget and accruals

Qualification Requirements

- Proven track record with minimum 5+ years' experience in the fresh meat and/or processed proteins sales industry with retail value added meat sales and program selling experience, specifically in the retail sales channel required
- Ability to analyze, develop and execute strategies to maximize net marketing margins while developing and expanding new markets resulting in an increased sales volume to meet company objectives required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to write routine reports and to read and interpret price lists and availability reports
- Must be highly self-motivated, assertive and can speak effectively to customers while maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity
- 60% overnight travel expected within region as well as travel to Kansas City headquarters and Midwest production facilities for customer tours, sales meetings, and training
- Must have a valid driver's license
Schedule
- As needed to support sales and customer efforts within the region
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel and navigate international airports
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds for samples and customer presentations
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Primarily in the field with visits to the corporate office and customer headquarters common.
