You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the NAVY RECRUITING DISTRICT of NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties

Help

• You will be responsible for scheduling, administering, scoring and transmitting officer applicant testes to the appropriate commands.
• You will ensure officer applicants meet basic eligibility and program authorization requirements for specific programs within accordance with current regulations, policies and procedures.
• You will interview personnel to obtain data and additional information as needed to complete records or to correct discrepancies.
• You will prepare related correspondence, reports, or other documents required for appropriate signature.
• You will maintain liaison with other offices and activities both inside and outside the recruiting organization.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing personnel forms, records, and files in accordance with policies and procedures; 2) Utilizing automated systems to enter data and personnel information; 3) Maintaining and reviewing records, correcting discrepancies and preparing necessary documents forms, records, and files; and 4) Preparing a variety of documents, including correspondence and reports.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
