About the Role

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions aimed at refining communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure holistic care.
• Provide families and patients education to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, assuring comprehensive care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
