Local Class A Night Driver — Home Daily

We have immediate openings for local truck drivers to join a dedicated retail grocery fleet servicing store locations across the region. If you are looking for steady miles, reliable weekly pay, and the ability to be home after every single shift, this run offers a steady year-round schedule.

Pay Highlights

Weekly Average: Most drivers on this dedicated run average $1,300 gross per week.

Mileage Rate: Earn between $0.43 and $0.51 per mile depending entirely on your past experience.

Short-Haul Pay: Get an extra $30.00 premium on any short runs that fall under 90 miles.

Stop Incentives: Receive $10.00 for every stop you make along your route.

Added Bonuses: You can boost your weekly take-home pay via an account-specific driver performance bonus program.

Route & Shift Details

Daily Home Time: This is a 100% home daily dispatch. You will wrap up your local runs and sleep in your own bed every day.

The Shift: This fleet operates strictly on a Night Shift schedule.

Work Week: You will work a stable 5-day cadence. We currently have openings for Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday schedules (weekend dispatch is a standard part of this account).

The Run: You will handle 2 local runs per day, which keeps your workload steady at around 2,200 total miles per week. All freight consists of live unloads at the retail store docks.

Truck Sharing: This is a slip-seat operation, meaning daycabs are shared with a driver on the opposite shift.

Holidays: Because grocery retail depends on constant supply, you will be expected to work holiday nights when they match the customer's active shipping calendar.

Hiring Requirements

Where You Must Live: You need to reside within 25 miles of Zip Code 33982. This allows us to pull from surrounding target areas including Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Englewood, and North Port.

Experience Tiers :

Trainees: Completely welcome ! If you have 0 months of commercial driving experience but hold a fresh, valid Class A CDL, you can apply.

Experienced: We fully count both local and OTR tractor-trailer backgrounds, requiring at least 6 months of experience.

Note: Team drivers and owner-operators are closed on this fleet—company solo drivers only.

License & Medical: Must hold a valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card. No specialized endorsements (like Hazmat or Tanker) are needed to haul this freight.

Safety Screening: Must pass all standard pre-employment screening processes, including a drug test and a review of your recent driving history.
