The Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM CST, supervisor to determine scheduleLocation: 1412 May St, Ft Worth, TXPrimary Responsibilities:Provide leadership, guidance, support and direction for the front office and non-clinical staffFunction as first contact for customer service issuesMay assist to coordinate work of other team membersResolve complex issues rarely deferring to supervisor/managerServes as PSR mentor and trainer and provides expertise as SME to PSR staffLead may need to be willing to travel within their own market for coverage, training, support needs, assisting with training newly acquired clinical locations, etc.May perform regular PSR duties to include greeting patients; complete check-in and check-out tasks; collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles; answering phones, scheduling appointments, re-direct calls as appropriate, and assist callers with questions or concerns within the PSR scopeIn addition to regular PSR duties, at least 50% of time must be dedicated to clinic metrics/projects/initiatives as deemed by clinic leadership. Examples include but are not limited to the following:o Onboards new PSR'so Trains PSR'so Safety Championo Clinic Policy/SOP champion, develop awareness/knowledge of SDO process to assist CA in administrative preparationso Actively involved in assisting with the role out of any new trainingPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
