This includes assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing implementation, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans may occur in various settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develops and maintains treatment plans Ensures 100% treatment adherence for all supervision hours each month Evaluates patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyzes challenging behaviors and identifies function of behavior Develops functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observes treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitors treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols Directs behavior technicians in implementing new or revised treatment protocols Provides ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Works physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation Summarizes and analyzes data to evaluate patient progress and adjusts protocols based on data Updates treatment plans monthly, based on patient response to treatment Fulfills a minimum of 120 billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours Communicates treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers) Coordinates care with other professionals Administers, completes, and scores standardized assessments Includes caregiver as part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetings Interacts with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner Engages with payers as needed for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews) Stays up-to-date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintains appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Provides a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues Maintains HIPAA compliance at all times Partners consistently and effectively with center leadership (Operations Manager, other Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician Leads, etc.) Other duties as assigned Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate, maintaining strict confidentiality Collaboration with team members while maintaining a positive, solution-focused attitude Independently problem solving and exercising clinical judgment Effective verbal and written communication Excellent time management in a fast-paced, changing environment Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook; proficiency with new systems and iPads) Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets Willingness to work in various locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance Must pass tuberculosis test Proficiency in English, both written and verbal Work Environment Treatment may occur in patient’s home, CARD center, school, community, or via telehealth. Supervisors may work indoors and outdoors, moving between locations throughout the workday. Settings may include loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other settings Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate, and respond to patient movement Position oneself to participate and respond to patient movements, including bending, kneeling/crouching, hurrying to block open doorways, or reaching to prevent patient entering traffic congestion Utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor movements and surrounding environment Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors or physically block aggression attempts Teach patients vocal speech, model speaking clearly, and shape vocal communication Model gross and fine motor skills (climbing, jumping, clapping, opening containers) Work in indoor and outdoor settings, including various weather conditions (community skills, recess in school, etc.) Lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients EEO Statement Qualified Applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
