Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianIndicon is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented person to join the Quality Team. This is a tight-knit, cross-functional group motivated by excellence and teamwork. It is Quality's job to ensure we have materials that meet specifications coming into the plant, and that our finished products meet customer specifications as well our own internal expectations. This is a contract to hire opportunity Shift hours 4am - 2:30pm M-F with the ability to work OT and Saturdays when neededRequirementsStrong communication, active listening, interpersonal, and writing skillsComplex Problem Solving with strong analytical and decision-making skillsStrong in MS Office – especially in Excel (ability to create - or learn to create - clean data tables, pivot tables, and charts to support analysis and decision making) & PowerPointGood understanding of – or ability to learn – SytelineDetail-oriented and customer-focusedFlexibility to juggle multiple projectsFollow 6S practices dailyResponsibilities This is an entry-level Quality Team position with room to grow. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Inspecting incoming products to assure conformance to specifications/drawingsContaining item inventory across the plant when issues are identifiedAnalyzing defects of, and dispositioning non-conforming itemsDocumenting and reporting product quality levelsCommunicating with other team members to solve problemsRespond to Production Line calls for Quality concerns or needsFollowing up with the appropriate channels when concerns are identified
