About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures. License: Valid CA License required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience. Description: Applicants must have trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience due to trauma status. The candidate may need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. Call will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every six weeks. This could be up to 6-8 shifts in a six-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends. The candidate will be required to float between like units. Preference will be given to candidates willing to accommodate a block schedule, subject to manager discretion. Candidates must work two out of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Reference letters are required covering one year of experience within the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. The ability to engage in communication with the required devices is a necessity for the assignment. Providers must ensure all work-related communications are self-reported and recorded. Travelers are encouraged to explore housing options in the area, as availability may be limited. Candidates should have proficiency in Epic charting system. Experience with specific surgical procedures is essential.
