Responsibilities Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care. Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment. Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem‑solving skills. Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on beds covered. Enter orders, call nurses, staff, patients or families as needed. Help with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, including transfers to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc. Qualifications MD or DO. Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Requires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a Hospitalist. Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WI. Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice. Credentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a TeleHospitalist. Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DC. We offer PRN hourly rate.
