Accounting Manager

Salary: USD90000 - USD100000 per year Company Overview Beacon Hill is partnering with a respected nonprofit organization seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to support financial operations, compliance, budgeting, and reporting for mission-focused programs. Job Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting activities, manage financial reporting, support budgeting efforts, and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This role partners closely with program leadership and finance management to maintain strong financial controls and organizational accountability. Responsibilities Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records. Monitor program spending and analyze budget-to-actual performance. Support annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting. Process accounts payable, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations. Assist with grant financial reporting and expense allocations. Prepare monthly financial reports and audit schedules. Support audits, compliance requirements, 1099 filings, and sales tax reporting. Assist with board reporting and special finance projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency with Excel and accounting software. Experience with budgeting, audits, and account reconciliations.
