Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) in Guthrie, Oklahoma. This role involves providing rehabilitative therapy services within an inpatient physical therapy unit, primarily focusing on patients who are expected to return home or transfer to a different level of care. Candidates are required to bring their occupational therapy license on the first day of assignment.

• Required Qualifications: Current occupational therapy license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1+ years of experience, Oklahoma state license, no minimum experience necessary aside from professional requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Management and coordination of services skills, experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) system EPIC, strong communication skills, ability to work under limited supervision and make rational decisions based on clinical data
• Additional Information: The position involves evaluating patient functional status, establishing and modifying treatment plans, providing patient and family education, and documenting care comprehensively. It also includes serving as a resource person, orienting new staff, and participating in quality improvement activities. The clinical environment is comparable to skilled nursing facility care within a hospital setting, with a patient population consisting mainly of swing bed patients in a level of therapy similar to SNF. Approximately 75% of patients are discharged to home, while 25% transition to a new level of care.
