Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist for an acute therapy services unit, requiring 1+ year of OT experience and an active OT license.

Details

• Day shift position, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 schedule)
• 13-week contract
• Acute therapy services unit in a hospital setting
• Medical patient population
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Current, active OT license required at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OT specialty experience
• Current BLS certification required; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
• A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Ability to work under limited supervision and make clinical decisions based on physician consultation, lab results, and patient assessment

Additional Information

• Evaluate patients' functional status and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Implement and modify treatment programs utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum and at discharge
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner via Epic
• May serve as a clinical resource, orient new staff, and act as a clinical instructor for students
• Assists with quality improvement, program evaluation, and departmental projects as needed
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate; local candidates are also limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility before a separation period or transfer is required
