**Required Certifications:** - Current occupational therapy license - BLS **Years of Experience:** - 1+ **Must Have Skills/Experience:** - Implements treatment programs safely, displaying a variety of treatment skills in specific treatment modalities. - Performs patient care to acceptable standards of professional ethics. - Respects patient confidences and provides care to all persons without regard to personality or medical problems. - Follows proper Policy & Procedure guidelines for Infection Control and completion of incident reports. - Performs patient documentation and communicates with other areas meeting all quality improvement requirements. **Complex Aspects:** - Serves as a resource person. - Provides appropriate orientation to new staff. - Identifies new or updates programs inclusive of determining appropriate policies and procedures, training staff, and monitoring program effectiveness. - Acts as a clinical instructor for students. **Communication Management:** - Provides patient and family education clearly and concisely throughout care and at discharge. - Completes all necessary written documentation clearly, concisely, and timely in accordance with department policies. - Demonstrates the ability to orally communicate effectively with professionals, patients, and family members. **Technology:** - Maintains current knowledge of technical and therapeutic advances and provides education to others. **Personality Fit:** - Must be able to work under limited supervision and make rational and logical decisions from data obtained by consultation with physicians, lab results, and patient assessment.
