Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech

Experience: Two (2) years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
License: NYS CT Tech License
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)


Must-Have:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- HCPs currently registered in NYS must possess injection therapy certification


Description:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
Strictly adhere to department policy and procedures for patient safety.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system.
Ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Exhibit a patient and compassionate disposition.
Work collaboratively as a team player to maintain a cohesive working environment.
Knowledge of Siemens and Philips equipment preferred.
Willingness to complete injection certification during orientation process.
