Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist

Experience: 2 years of CT experience
License: NYS Rad Tech license
Certifications: BLS, ARRT


Must-Have:
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Two (2) Years' Experience Level 1 Trauma Center Experience.
HCPs currently registered in NYS are required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license prior to position.


Description:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the system.
Ensure identifying images are properly sent to the PACS system upon exam completion.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.


Preferred:
Injection certification is preferred; candidates must be willing to complete during the orientation process.
Knowledge of imaging equipment is preferred.
