Head of Quality Engineering

To shape the quality framework of a regulated crypto bank, the full-time Head of Quality Engineering will own quality standards, AI-assisted test tooling, and pre-release veto authority, working remotely from anywhere. Key responsibilities Define and own the quality framework, including coverage standards and gate criteria, in alignment with engineering leadership Establish measurable coverage baselines and drive adoption across Stream Aligned Teams Exercise pre-release veto authority to block releases that do not meet quality gates, utilizing automated tooling for self-triggering vetoes Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a proven track record of owning quality frameworks Hands-on experience in building CI/CD quality gates across multiple testing levels Practical knowledge of AI-assisted test tooling and agentic QA pipelines Strong understanding of distributed, event-driven microservices architectures and their testing requirements Experience in regulated fintech or banking environments, emphasizing mobile-first product delivery
