Coil Winding Technician – 2nd Shift

???? Location: Panama City, FL

???? Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM (with overtime as needed)

???? Reports To: Production Supervisor

???? FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

???? Compensation: $22.00 per hr + shift differential after training

Overtime Opportunities: 2nd shift team members may have the opportunity to pick up overtime on Saturdays and Sundays, typically between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, when available.

• Operate coil winding machines with accuracy and care.
• Follow blueprints, specifications, and detailed instructions to produce precise coils.
• Load materials, adjust machine settings, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Wind wire around cores/forms to exact specifications.
• Use hand tools to cut, strip, and shape wire.
• Assemble components and perform quality checks.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read job instructions and perform basic math.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Comfortable using manual and powered hand tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Hoist/crane experience and forklift certification are a plus.
• Safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.

Working Conditions & Requirements

• Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
• Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
• PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
• Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
• Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
• Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
