Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Rochester, NY | Intermediate Care / Step-Down Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
• Manage complex patient diagnoses including DKA, acute respiratory needs (BiPAP, High Flow, Vent/Trachs), ETOH withdrawal, sepsis, and nursing-intensive cases
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CADDS and PCA pumps
• Perform mandatory competency skills including phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement , which are required skills for all RNs on this unit
• Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Provide every-other-weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NY) RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• EPIC electronic health record experience is a hard requirement
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing patients on BiPAP, High Flow oxygen, mechanical ventilation, or tracheostomy care
• Demonstrated proficiency with phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
