The HR Manager leads CertaSite's core HR practices and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members across a fast-growing, multi-location organization. The role provides practical, business-oriented support across team member relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR policies and programs, leaves and accommodations, and employment compliance. The HR Manager will partner with APi resources as appropriate—leveraging capabilities rather than recreating them locally—while ensuring solutions are practical and responsive to CertaSite's business and workforce needs. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Team Member Relations & Manager Support Serve as a primary HR advisor to leaders and team members on workplace concerns, performance, attendance, conduct, conflict, corrective action, policy interpretation, and other employment matters. Coach managers through complex team member situations; conduct or support workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions. Provide guidance on separations and other employment decisions, ensuring appropriate documentation, consistency, and sound judgment. Identify trends such as turnover or recurring team member issues and recommend practical, proactive solutions. Performance Management Manage and improve CertaSite's performance management practices and annual review processes. Coach managers on setting expectations, providing feedback, documenting concerns, addressing underperformance, and strengthening accountability. Partner with the Leadership Development Leader when manager capability gaps can be addressed through development, training, or coaching. Compensation & Benefits Support compensation decisions and programs, including promotions, market adjustments, benchmarking, job evaluation, salary structures, internal equity, and annual planning. Support the administration and communication of team member benefits, serving as an escalation point and partnering with brokers, vendors, payroll, APi, and other resources as needed. Support annual benefit renewal and open enrollment activities. Policies, Compliance, Leaves & Accommodations Develop, interpret, and maintain HR policies and the team member handbook, promoting consistent practices across locations and functions. Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements and partner with legal counsel and APi resources as appropriate to manage compliance and employment risk. Oversee or coordinate leaves and accommodations, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation-related employment matters, and applicable state and local requirements. Ensure appropriate HR documentation, recordkeeping, reporting, postings, and related compliance practices. Organizational Growth & HR Partnership Support CertaSite's continued growth and acquisition integration, helping new locations and team members transition into CertaSite and applicable APi HR programs and practices. Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve HR processes and the overall team member experience. Build strong relationships across branches, field operations, sales, and corporate functions and develop a deep understanding of CertaSite's business and workforce. Partner with the L&D Leader, other HR team members, and APi HR resources to address business and talent needs and leverage available enterprise capabilities. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational leadership, or a related field preferred. 5-7 years of progressive HR experience with broad responsibility across team member relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, policies, leaves, and employment compliance. Demonstrated experience independently advising and coaching managers on complex team member and performance matters. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Experience in a multi-location, field-based, service, construction, industrial, or similarly operational environment strongly preferred; experience with growth, acquisitions, or organizational change is a plus. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certification is a plus.
