Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using standardized tools and direct observation.
• Create individualized treatment plans that aim for specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focused on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing dynamics.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to construct integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Document all clinical activities consistently and accurately to meet legal and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuous education and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA accredited.

Certifications

• Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandated within the first 30 days of employment.
