Advanced Practice Practitioner Manager (NP/PA)

Role Overview The APP Manager - Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner oversees clinical and administrative functions within an urgent care setting. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate APPs, supervise front-line staff, develop care strategies, and ensure adherence to best practices. Provide a variety of clinical services including treating acute conditions, performing procedures, ordering tests, and patient education. Lead clinical initiatives, mentor staff, monitor performance metrics, and facilitate process improvements. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, chart reviews, quality initiatives, EMR training, and special project management. Participate actively in clinical leadership meetings, promote a positive team environment, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. Qualifications & Skills Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience, including 12+ months in urgent care or emergency environments. Licenses and certifications including national certification, active state medical licensure, DEA, BLS, and ACLS. Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and customer service skills, with experience in both pediatric and adult care. Knowledge of EMR systems, procedural skills, and healthcare standards is essential.
