Job Description

The repack laborer supports a large-scale packaging project by repackaging several hundred pallets of bricks in the packaging department. This is a true temporary assignment focused on rework of brick pallets, with the potential for consideration for other opportunities based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Cut open pallets and safely access brick loads for repackaging.
• Break down skids and remove bricks from incorrect or outdated pallet configurations.
• Repalletize bricks onto appropriate skids according to updated specifications.
• Adjust and verify piece counts on skids to ensure accurate quantities and documentation.
• Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning and painting as needed to support the project.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repack and rework activities.
• Operate forklifts when trained and authorized to move pallets and materials within the facility.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safety-oriented mindset throughout all tasks.
• Work efficiently in a hot, non-climate-controlled plant environment while performing extensive manual labor.
• Support several thousand hours of rework by maintaining productivity, attention to detail, and quality standards

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing plant and packaging department where the facility is hot and not climate controlled. The role involves extensive manual labor, including handling bricks, breaking down and repalletizing skids, and working with hand tools, power tools, and forklifts after training. The standard schedule is 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the possibility of moving to 2nd or 3rd shift as the project progresses. Overtime opportunities may be available, with potential weekly hours reaching around 60 once training is complete. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and centered on completing several thousand hours of rework efficiently and accurately.

This is a Contract position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $24.56 - $24.56/hr.
