Pediatric Intensive Care RN | Ankeny, Iowa

Deliver exceptional pediatric care in a fast-paced environment by joining a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As an experienced RN specializing in PICU, you will provide critical support to patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary medical staff.


Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• At least one year of recent PICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies
• Compassion for children and their families
• Familiarity with equipment and protocols specific to pediatric intensive care

Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients, following best practices and physician orders
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and maintain accurate patient charts
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients' families, providing updates on status and care procedures
• Participate in rapid response situations and provide advanced life support when necessary
• Follow strict infection control procedures and ensure a clean, safe environment
