Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) - Ankeny, Iowa

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license.
• Previous experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings preferred.
• Solid clinical assessment, care planning, and patient advocacy skills.
• Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ability to multitask and respond promptly and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care following physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to physicians and care teams.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, rehabilitation techniques, and ongoing health management.
• Coordinate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists for integrated patient care.
• Support patient independence and rehabilitation goals while ensuring overall comfort and safety.
• Participate in care conferences and contribute to interdisciplinary planning and problem-solving.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with flexible shifts available (may include weekends or holidays depending on facility needs).
