Staff AccountantOur organization is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Staff Accountant Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 25.27 to $ 33.47 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expenses.Record cash receipts, deposits, grant reimbursements, and other revenue transactions.Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and variance analysis.Support departments with financial questions, budgeting, and process improvements.Staff Accountant Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required1-3 years of accounting experience preferred (nonprofit or grant-funded experience is a plus)Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.A valid Oregon Driver's license with a record that is acceptableApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
