Accounts Payable Associate

Our franchise car dealerships represent world-class manufacturers and have grown rapidly over the last few years. We currently have 17 dealerships throughout the Carolinas and also in Florida. We are adding to our Accounts Payable team at our corporate location in Raleigh, NC: This is an entry-level position Previous AP or automotive accounting experience is preferred This is an on-site position located off Glenwood Ave in Northwest Raleigh Monday-Friday position What we have to offer: A culture of caring, belonging, and respect for everyone Managers that people want to work with Career growth and advancement Leadership development, innovative training and learning systems Competitive compensation plans 401k retirement plans with company match Comprehensive health benefits packages, including telehealth and behavioral health services Industry-leading maternity and paternity leave Paid employee referral program Recognition and bonus programs Paid time off, bereavement, and vacation benefits Employee discounts on parts, service, vehicle purchases, and local entertainment What we are looking for: Someone with intermediate to advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency Ability to coordinate various activities simultaneously, excellent organizational and time management skills, and interpersonal skills Respond to all vendor inquiries Properly post approved purchase orders and invoices to general ledger accounts Sort, code, review, and verify vendor invoices in a fast-paced environment Print and mail checks to vendors according to payment terms and maintain paid invoice files Review and maintain accounting schedules Maintain W-9 information and annual 1099 reporting Reconcile vendor statements and pay balances owed within agreed credit terms Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Assist in month-end closing tasks as assigned All other tasks/projects as assigned Automotive experience preferred A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is required High school diploma or equivalent Why Automotive: Career growth: Endless opportunities for career development within our organization, with development programs and training to get you where you want to be Stability: Even through these uncertain times, Anderson Automotive Group was able to continue to provide excellence in our communities Technology: There is no industry more exciting than Automotive.
