Description

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients ranging from children to the elderly employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at both immediate needs and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing function.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals-physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families-to devise comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide informative resources and education to patients and their families to better understand and facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure a seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly in accordance with regulatory and institutional guidelines.
• Stay abreast of the latest advances in the field through continual professional development and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet licensed by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferable: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
