Empower students through movement and healthy living in a dynamic educational environment as a Physical Education General Education Teacher! This contract position, located near Federal Way, WA, offers the chance to inspire young learners to build lifelong wellness habits. Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid teaching certification with endorsement in Physical Education or General Education
- Previous experience teaching Physical Education, or leading fitness/youth activity programs
- Passion for promoting physical literacy, teamwork, and student motivation
- Ability to design and implement age-appropriate fitness, health, and sports curricula
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and families
- Capacity to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Knowledge of safety protocols specific to school-based physical activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging physical education lessons for diverse student groups
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual and group needs
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate physical health and wellness into broader educational goals
- Organize and supervise games, sports, and fitness activities that promote lifelong healthy habits
- Maintain accurate records related to student attendance, participation, and progress
- Uphold school and district policies regarding behavior, health, and safety
