Patient Care Associate - Telemetry - FT - Days-MHM

Overview Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities at Memorial. Responsibilities Assist patients with personal care and daily living activities (bathing, grooming, eating). Transport patients as needed. Monitor patient status and report abnormal findings to nursing staff. Perform basic patient care activities delegated by RN (vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, blood glucose, intake/output). Keep patient rooms and areas stocked, clean and orderly. Complete other duties as assigned. Required Competencies Accountability Customer service Organization skills Patient and family‑centered care Patient safety (ancillary/support) Problem solving Responding to change Standards of behavior Education & Certification No degree required; any other education earned. BLS American Heart Association (various E‑Card options). BLS certification (American Heart, Red Cross, Grace). Other Requirements Three (3) months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program. EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six months of hire. Physical Requirements Typical duties include bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, lifting and carrying patients up to 35 lbs, and other activities described above. Ability to work in a stressful environment and with minimal supervision is required.
