Job Title: Material Control (Warehouse) Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials within our facility. You will be working the first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with some days starting as early as 4 am if a container arrives. This is a temp-to-hire position with the opportunity for permanent employment after 90 days.

• Operate electric pallet jack, forklift, and high reach truck to move materials.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Work effectively in cold/freezer conditions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

• Fluency in English.
• Strong math skills, with the ability to pass an in-house math test.
• At least six months of experience in a Material Handling/Warehouse role.
• Experience with electric pallet jack, forklift, and high reach truck.
• Proficient in computer and data entry tasks.

• Experience in manufacturing is required.
• No specific education needed.
• Must pass a math test with only one error allowed in 15 minutes (16 questions).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is preferred.

This role is based in a food production environment where Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are strictly enforced. Employees must wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes, and adhere to dress codes that prohibit jewelry, makeup, and clothing with rips. Hair nets and beard nets are required when necessary, and a body suit will be provided daily from the security booth. Attendance is critical for successful integration into the permanent team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
