Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our Assisted Living Facility in Ithaca, where a structured and supportive workplace culture exists. The setting enables close coordination with other healthcare practitioners, including orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation therapists, and nursing staff. The Physician-Nurse Practitioner collaboration ensures a robust support system and streamlined care process for our patients, promoting efficient treatment that enhances patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient orthopedic care, focusing on specialized areas including pain management and electromedical services.
• Conduct patient assessments by performing thorough histories and physical examinations to determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies, managing conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and various orthopedic and cardiological disorders.
• Conduct outpatient-only electrophysiology services, including stress testing and management of patients with abnormal heart rhythms.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with protocols and best practices, ensuring effective management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed health decisions.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the organization when necessary, ensuring continuity of care across interdisciplinary teams.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
