Business Manager, West Coast and Mountain States

Position Overview Jewish National Fund-USA is seeking a Business Manager to oversee business matters and administrative projects for its regional Fundraising Team. The role involves leading and working closely with core staff to ensure all tasks are fulfilled and executed efficiently. The candidate must think strategically and creatively, be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, juggle multiple projects, anticipate needs, recommend solutions, and work well with people. This position reports to the National Campaign Director of the region and works closely with the CoE team, fundraisers, administrative assistants, and event professionals across the country. The role will be based in our Reseda, CA or San Diego office. Job Responsibilities Act as right‑hand person to the National Campaign Director and oversee business and operational matters including budget, cost savings, and departmental fiscal responsibility. Use data and Salesforce to enhance solutions and analyze donor trends. Lead and advance projects and initiatives from conception to realization, working closely with the National Campaign Director, fundraisers, and other staff. Develop and advance efficient administrative systems and processes within JNF-USA. Provide administrative support, including preparing presentations, taking minutes, and other tasks as requested. Provide operation reports as required by deadlines. Supervise regional Operations Directors, coordinate regional team meetings, and attend as appropriate. Oversee the regional event calendar to ensure operational success that aligns with strategic objectives. Attend regional events as necessary. Proactively anticipate needs and recommend process improvements, track workflows, diagnose issues, and identify solutions. Ensure alignment with JNF-USA's mission, vision, core values, and objectives. Track team performance and ensure quality of work. Collaborate with the Chief Business Officer to incorporate latest processes, knowledge sharing, data reporting, and business updates to train the region; meet monthly with the Business Managers team. Interact with volunteer leaders and donors with poise and professionalism. Understand and adhere to confidentiality of data and assignments. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Strong technical skills including Salesforce or other database. Strategic, out‑of‑the‑box thinking. Extremely detail oriented with ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Pro‑active and energetic; able to work independently with minimal daily supervision. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer‑service mentality; collaborative with many people. “No job is too small” attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves. 10+ years of business experience.
