Home Health Aide (HHA) | Personal & Hospice Care | Full-TimeJoin BrightStar Care – Where Compassion Meets Excellence

BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional in-home personal care and hospice support to clients throughout Westside Cuyahoga County , with primary availability in North Ridgeville .

Available Schedule

• Full-Time opportunities
• Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight shifts available
• Ongoing 24/7 care cases
• Must be available to work in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Medina Counties , including North Ridgeville, Middleburg Heights, Parma, Strongsville, Rocky River, Lakewood, Westlake, Avon, Berea, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, and surrounding areas.

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate, hands-on care while assisting clients with daily living activities, including:

• Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and emotional support
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the RN

Current Client Needs

This position includes caring for a client who requires:

• Full assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Incontinence care (urinary)
• Bedpan assistance
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation
• Laundry and light housekeeping
• Mobility and transfer assistance
• Support with exercises as directed by Physical Therapy
• Wound care oversight provided by Hospice (caregiver not responsible for wound treatment)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of caregiving or home care experience preferred
• HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Negative TB test or Chest X-ray
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of HIPAA and client confidentiality
• Current COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B vaccinations preferred
