Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Compensation: $88K-$105K base salary

Location: San Diego, North County (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

This role supports strategic finance, planning, and analysis in a mission-driven, complex operating environment. The Senior Financial Analyst partners with technical and administrative leaders to support financial decision-making, long-range planning, and continuous process improvement across multiple funding sources.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning across departmental and program-based funds
• Deliver financial analysis and strategic insights to support organizational commitments
• Develop and maintain forecasting models, KPIs, and performance measurement tools
• Evaluate processes to drive efficiencies and support new initiatives or strategic investments
• Partner with leadership to evaluate new opportunities and priorities
• Prepare executive-level and board-ready financial materials under tight deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in biotech, technology, or similarly complex environments
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights
• Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving, and ambiguous settings
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in investment banking or management consulting
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with high ownership
