Position Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, building and maintaining all structural and themeing elements in the facility, as directed by the supervisor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities ** :** includes but not limited to:

• Sets metal door frames and is responsible for all steel wall construction
• Constructs, laminates and installs cabinets
• Provides building maintenance and repair
• Performs finish work, such as installing interior and exterior trim

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides general building repair and maintenance
• Responsible for all department logs and labor recording pertinent to the day-to-day job duties
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four years of commercial carpentry experience
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of cabinet construction and lamination
• Must be familiar with the safe and effective use of all types of power tools
• Must have experience with setting metal door frames and steel wall construction

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Basic knowledge of the safe and effective use of all types of power tools
• Ability to interpret and follow carpentry instructions and specifications such as blueprints, manuals, sketches and work orders
• Measures  and accurately calculates dimensions

Training Requirements:

• Respirator training and fit tested
• Man lift training (scissor and boom lift)
• Forklift training
• Fall training

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and climb a ladder
• Ability to wear a breathing mask
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
