HR Coordinator

Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Richmond, VA - Hybrid
Duration: 8+ Months
Pay Range: $20-22/hr on W2 without benefits

Introduction:
We are seeking individuals to support background screening and rehire eligibility processes. This role focuses on reviewing employment background checks and performing additional rehire checks to ensure candidates meet internal eligibility criteria. While comprehensive training will be provided, ideal candidates will bring strong soft skills and the ability to operate independently. This is a back-office position with no direct phone interaction; communication will primarily take place via email. The role requires immediate availability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Applicants must be able to work directly for the company on W2
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Prior experience in Risk, Compliance, or HR Operations
• Proficiency with Gmail and other productivity tools
• Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of work accurately and efficiently
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential data
• Comfortable working behind the scenes with limited supervision
• Able to assess risk tolerance and make informed, independent decisions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct background screening reviews to assess employment eligibility
• Perform rehire eligibility checks
• Work closely with internal risk and compliance policies
• Communicate effectively and professionally via email
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all reviews
• Manage a high volume of cases in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and escalation as needed
