Security Floor Agent

Job Title Security Floor Agent Department Operations Reports To Security Manager FLSA Status Hourly, Non-Exempt Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $22.50 at time of hire, $23.00 after 90 days of service. General Summary This position provides security protection to employees, staff, and property through patrol, observation, and reporting procedures. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide a guest services level of care for employees, clients, and patrons. Carry out emergency, safety, and security programs and procedures when necessary. Perform foot and vehicle patrols of property. Inspect and report on facilities compliance with safety and security procedures. Investigate and report on incidents including damage/injury to the facility or employees. Assure POD compliance on patrols. Demonstrate self‑motivation and ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED (preferred). Experience: One to three years of security experience in a large facility (preferred). Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; work effectively with diverse groups; strong leadership in changing priorities; excellent problem solving and organizational skills; provide professional customer service; reliable and dependable record; customer service experience (preferred). Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including ability to create Word documents and Excel spreadsheets (preferred). Certifications & Licenses: City and County of Denver Security Guard License required; valid and current Class C Colorado Driver License (preferred). Working Conditions The position requires physical ability to patrol and inspect facility ground and buildings; up to three‑quarters walking and one‑quarter sitting. Additional duties include climbing stairs, standing on cement floors, turning, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and exposure to adverse working conditions such as dust, grime, noise, fumes, wet floors, and weather. Shift work (A, B, or C) as assigned. Must possess ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds to desk level. Irregular and extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required based on event schedule and department need. Requires use of a two‑way hand‑held radio.
