- # Security Floor AgentApplylocations: Denver, COtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R100123425**Job Title:** Security Floor Agent**Department:** Operations**Reports To:** Security Manager**FLSA Status:** Hourly, Non-Exempt**Why the Colorado Convention Center is a great place to work:*** $500 Signing Bonus at completion of 30 days of service, additional $500 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of service!* Generous Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay* Health, dental, vision insurance, eligible upon hire* 401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4%* Healthcare reimbursement and flexible spending plans* Employer-paid and supplemental life insurance* Short- and long-term disability insurance available* RTD Eco Pass: As a Full-time employee the Colorado Convention Center currently offers an RTD Eco Pass.* Tuition reimbursement program (salaried employees after working full time for at least one year)* Employee assistance program**Compensation:** $22.50 at time of hire, $23.00 after 90 days of service**General Summary:**This position provides security protection to employees, staff, and property through patrol, observation, and reporting procedures.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*** Provide a guest services level of care for employees, clients, and patrons* Carry out emergency, safety, and security programs and procedures when necessary* Perform foot and vehicle patrols of property.* Inspect and report on facilities compliance with safety and security procedures* Investigate and report on incidents including damage/injury to the facility or employees* Assure POD compliance on patrols* Self-motivated, with the ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision* Other duties as assigned**Qualifications**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be requested to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Education and Experience:*** High school diploma or GED, preferred* One to three years security experience in a large facility preferred**Skills and Abilities:*** Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele, required* Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team, required* Perform leadership role and job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities, required* Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, required* Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner, required* Excellent record of dependability and reliability, required* Customer Service experience, preferred**Computer Skills:*** Basic computer skills including ability to create word documents and excel spreadsheets, preferred**Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:*** City and County of Denver Security Guard License required* Valid and current Class C Colorado Driver License preferred**Working Conditions:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires climbing stairs, standing on cement floors, turning, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling; may be subject to adverse working conditions, dust, grime, noise, fumes, wet floors etc., including weather; may require use of an electric cart; May be exposed to physical confrontations. Subject to adverse weather conditions. A, B, or C shift work as assigned. Must possess the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds to desk level. Irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required; determined by event schedule and/or department need.
